The Division of Education of the Philadelphia Museum of Art relates, through interpretation, the Museum’s collections and its commitment to their preservation, study and display, to the needs and interests of a diverse audience. The department has developed nationally and internationally recognized programs for children, families, teachers, adult learners, and special audiences alike.

Wachovia Education Resource Center
The Wachovia Education Resource Center, located in the Museum's Perelman Building, offers teachers an unequaled collection of materials, technology, and services to enhance teaching through connections between various curricular areas and the visual arts—all at no cost.

Education Exhibition
Delphi After School Art Club - Love Invaders Love Invaders, a collaborative artwork installed on the exterior of the Fairmount Park Welcome Center in Love Park, was created by students in the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Delphi After School Art Club. It was inspired by the Museum’s collections and its fall 2010 exhibitions of work by Italian contemporary artist Michelangelo Pistoletto. Each student created a unique emblem that references an object in the Museum’s collections and reflects the spirit of "Love Difference," Pistoletto’s motto of cross-cultural tolerance.
Arranging Your School Visit
Registration begins in September of each year. Register early as programs fill quickly; a minimum minimum of two weeks notice is required when making your appointment. Appointments may be made by phone at (215) 684-7333 Tuesday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 2:00–4:30 p.m.

Distance Learning Programs
Before, after, or even instead of a Museum tour, visit us from your classroom! These videoconferencing programs provide meaningful, interactive learning experiences, connecting the visual arts with all areas of classroom curricula. Videoconferencing lessons are a great way to bring the Museum's collections and special exhibitions into your classroom--as a stand-alone lesson or in conjunction with a Museum visit.
